About Flux Chiropractic

Flux is a place where your body can slow down, release tension, and feel understood. Pain and discomfort are often signs of your nervous system doing its best to protect you. Our role is not to force change, but to help your body feel safe enough to let go.

He genuinely loves teaching people how their body works, especially the “aha!” moment when someone realises why they’ve been hurting for months (or years)… and what they can do to finally change it. His style is calm, honest, and focused on real results, not long treatment plans or scare tactics.

Outside the clinic, Mike is a devoted dad, navigating the usual mix of toy landmines, bedtime negotiations, and trying to keep up with two very energetic kids. While most of his days are spent helping people move better… and the rest trying to convince his toddler not to jump off the sofa. He’s in a loving relationship powered by honesty, laughter, and the occasional constructive improvement plan (for Mike). Since Mike understands the importance of chiropractic care his partner is well versed in Mike’s taught chiropractic adjustments (she’s currently not taking bookings). He’s bit of a personal-development nerd, tries (and fails) to switch off sometimes and Gym… but real-life gym (dad life).

His mission at Flux Chiropractic is simple:

Get to the root of your pain… help you fix it for good.

Michael, chiropractor at Flux Chiropractic Hull

Dr Michael Brooke

Michael is a chiropractor in Hull who’s basically made a career out of figuring out why people feel broken and then helping them realise they’re not.

His journey started the same way many of his clients’ do: frustrated, injured, and being told different things by different people. After dealing with sports injuries for years and never getting clear answers, he became obsessed with figuring out how the body actually works, and why some problems keep coming back.

What began as “why does my body do this?” turned into years of studying, experimenting, fixing, failing, learning, and eventually graduating as both a Sport Rehabilitator and a Chiropractor.

Translation: he’s learned a lot, mostly the hard way, and now uses that to help other people avoid the same nonsense.

Mike now blends gentle, full-body adjustments with movement coaching and simple, practical exercises people can actually stick to in real life. Just clear explanations, hands-on care that helps, and exercises that won’t take you 40 minutes a day or require you to join Cirque du Soleil.

Mike’s approach is simple:

  • No scare tactics

  • No endless treatment plans

  • No overcomplicating things

  • No “click this bone back in” nonsense

A Different Approach to Care

Many people come to us after trying treatments that helped for a while, but didn’t failed to make lasting change. We take a whole-body approach, looking at how your posture, breathing, movement and nervous system are working together. When we understand how your body is protecting you, we can support it to change naturally, without pushing or overwhelming it.

We don’t believe in “fixing” people. Your body is not broken. It has adapted to stress, habits, injury and everyday load in the best way it knows how. We work with your body, not against it, to reduce tension, improve movement, and help you feel more comfortable and connected in your body. Only then will the body and the nervous system heal itself.

Working Together
